Last night/this morning was pretty much cooooool!! Sean, Greg and I went to a concert at Rock n' Roll Pizza in Portland. The concert featured *Dear Whoever*, Aphasia, Days Like These, blueturnswhite and Dry Season.
Dry Season was the first band that performed. They played good music but it was the first band so no one was really getting into the music as much as they would have liked. The lead singer was kind of a bitch saying that we should have gotten more into it, which I agree on, but lets be real.... they were the first band!!
The second band that played was blueturnswhite. I really liked these guys. They are from the Portland area too so it's all good. People were slowly starting to get into the music more and more as this band went on. They're more of a hardcore/rock band who were pretty decent.
The third band was Days Like These. These guys were awesome! They came all the way from New Jersey to play on a west coast tour. The thing is... It wasn't like a very popular tour, so they came over here to play in front of NOT SO MANY fans. I think everyone was into the music once these guys started playing. I have one of their songs on my myspace profile right now if you would like to check it out!!
Aphasia. All I had heard were good things about this band. I finally got to hear their music at this concert. I have to admit... they pretty much rocked!! They sound like a mix between Trapt and Blindside... (if you know those bands) They had a lot of energy which was awesome. What pumps up a crowd more than a band playing music they love and being full of energy?
Last but not least, Dear Whoever. WOOOO!! The main reason I went to go see this show... WOW is all I have to say. They rocked my socks off!! I was out in the crowd screaming their songs (even the ones I didn't know the words to). Hahaha. I wish more people would have showed up to the show though. There were A LOT of little kids there... I'd say in the age group of 8-12... What kinda kids are listening to rock/screamo music at that age? They should be listening to Jack Johnson or Coldplay.... haha!
Well, after the show... Greg, Sean and I decided to go to Hooters! Woo hoo! My first Hooters experience!! It was around midnight so there was like no one really there but it was awesome!! Our waitress' name was Heather. How cute! She was a cutie I tell ya. I took some pics of her on my phone which pretty much rock. A few of them she didn't know I took so I got some good body shots.... if you know what I mean... Greg told me he was gonna blog about this so I am too. Anyways, there was this Mexican guy dancing on a table and Heather got up and danced with him on the table... Let's just say I was staring and was really into it and as I was sipping water out of my straw, I didn't realize I was tilting my glass as well so a bunch of water spilled on the table and got my shirt and pants wet... How cool is that? You aren't cool unless you spill water on yourself from watching a hott chick dance on a table. Well, I'm gonna hit the sack since it's STICKIN' 6 in the morning!!! Lol stickin.... that was for you Greg!
