I'm a pretty big sports nut if you guys didn't know. I'm really excited. Tomorrow is the start of the 2008/2009 NBA season. My Portland Trail Blazers play the Kobes (Lakers). I have been waiting for this day for over a year now because we finally get back Greg Oden!
I'm also in a little bit of a debacle. Friday is their second game of the season (that's on Halloween). My girl friend is coming to visit that day. You see the debacle? How do I hang out with my girl friend whom I haven't seen in over a week and watch my basketball game, a game/season I've been anticipating for over a year now? Sure, I could just watch the game while we're hanging out but I know she's not into sports really at all. It's going to be a busy day, that's for sure. It's Halloween, my girl friend is coming to visit, the Blazers have a game and to top it off, it's my uncle's birthday!
Well, I can only hope this week goes by somewhat fast because I'm pretty stoked for Friday!

My parents were big fans of the Charlotte Hornets for years, and they've since converted to the Bobcats. I remember being dragged to games when I was little and getting scared of the loud noises the announcer made. Yeah, I've always been *that* lame.
Personally, I'm going to say do what your girl wants to do. Of course, I'm bias, because I'm a girl. But I've also been in a relationship (or two) where I wish I could have spent more time WITH the person. I don't know if that makes sense. Yeeep.
go for the girl. but......tell her about the game. see what she has to say.
I say, record the game and hang out with the girl. Then, don't read anything or listen to anything on the Blazers, watch the game later as if it is live and fast forward through commercials.
